Welcome Human Resources Professionals!

The Society of Healthcare Human Resources Professionals of Pennsylvania (SHHRPP) is a professional society of health care human resource professionals employed by Pennsylvania health care organizations. The Society’s mission is to act as a coordinated service network for local chapters, regional healthcare human resources societies and individual members to join together to accomplish mutually beneficial tasks by:

  • Taking a leadership role in member development
  • Influencing state health care human resources issues
  • Providing value-added products and services and communicating information on state human resources issues

As we look forward to the many challenges in our health care organizations, we will need to utilize our HR skills to assist one another as we embark on 2014. As professionals and individuals, we will be expected to advise and serve our various stakeholders in the most morally responsible manner as well as lead our individual organizations to conduct business in an equally responsible manner.

SHHRPP represents HR professionals across the state of Pennsylvania. There are also four regional healthcare HR societies: Central, Northwest, Appalachian, and Philadelphia. Along with the Board of Directors, I believe you will find your membership valuable. It will provide you with the most current and comprehensive resources enabling you to effectively lead your organization by promoting essential HR functions. You will have opportunities to network and collaborate with other healthcare HR professionals in the state. We have common issues and concerns and can assist each other.

If you need access to industry best practices, sample forms, policies, a recruitment source, general HR information, timely legislative updates and a quality salary survey, then a SHHRPP membership is for you! We appreciate your commitment to the Human Resources profession in healthcare and are equally committed to assisting you in your role.
